Sissy Spacek
Absorb Wanting Symbols CD
Petite Soles
In July of 2022, I attended a show at Mr. Roboto in Pittsburgh, PA, accompanying my friends Richard and Sean Ramirez who were performing with Sissy Spacek that evening. Very excited as I'd been a Sissy Spacek fan for years and they'd definitely been one of the bands to bridge grindcore and noise for me early on. Along with the core duo of Charlie Mumma and John Wiese, Aaron Dilloway was also joining the for the set. An all-star roster. As one could imagine the show was amazing. And here I am a year later with a couple tracks sourced from those recordings for this CD.
Also contained on this disc are studio recordings from Mumma, Wiese , Richard & Sean Ramirez, as well as more live recordings from a show a couple days later in Philadelphia, this one including Bill Nace with Mumma and Wiese.
Sonically this release is all over the spectrum of Sissy Spacek sound. Which is fortunate for me, as a fan of it all.

Varied sonic collages, colorful as the eye-grabbing album art, twist and turn throughout Rossetto's "Fashion Tape." It's a delightful release that combines the artist's intimate drones with an almost playful plundering of samples and sounds. jckmd
